Safe Space Counseling specializes in attachment and trauma.. We work with clients that are struggling in their relationships (family, friends, romantic, etc.) and/or struggling with past or recent truama. We aim at helping client's explore their life's journey and see how the past is currently influencing the present. When growing up, we all needed to feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure by are caregivers, but many of our caregivers/parents, being human, fell short of their capacity to do so. I work with clients to help them see how their own family dynamics while growing up has influenced what they experience in the present day.
Safe Space Counseling aims to create a safe space where people feel heard and seen. We see the therapy session as the client's time and space to share, explore, and talk about whatever is most helpful. Together we will identify areas of exploration and/or goals to help you get what you want to get out of therapy.
Safe Space Counseling understands that life can be challenging and hard. No matter how hard we might try to get past things and find healing, sometimes we keep hitting dead ends and are unable to do it on our own. This is actually fairly common.
